If you just want to install the RPM you built on a different machine

 

  1. Download the image from openSuSE:
    1. http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.2/iso/openSUSE-13.2-DVD-x86_64.iso
  2. Install the image on bare metal or a VM and configure the network.
  3. zypper install patch gcc-c++ pcre-devel libopenssl-devel keepalived

  4. wget 'http://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz'

  5. wget 'https://github.com/yaoweibin/nginx_upstream_check_module/archive/v0.3.0.tar.gz'

  6. wget 'https://github.com/openresty/headers-more-nginx-module/archive/v0.25.tar.gz'

  7. tar -xzvf nginx-1.6.2.tar.gz

  8. tar -xzvf v0.3.0.tar.gz

  9. tar -xzvf v0.25.tar.gz

  10. cd nginx-1.6.2

  11. patch -p1 < ../nginx_upstream_check_module-0.3.0/check_1.5.12+.patch

  12. ./configure --add-module=../nginx_upstream_check_module-0.3.0 --add-module=../headers-more-nginx-module-0.25 --with-http_ssl_module --prefix=/usr --conf-path=/etc/nginx/nginx.conf

  13. make

  14. make install

  15. cd ..

  16. groupadd storageos

  17. useradd -d /opt/storageos -g storageos storageos

  18. Create an /etc/ovfenv.properties file based on the values below, making the following customizations.
      1. network_1_ipaddr
        1. this should be the IPv4 address of your CoprHD host
      2. network_gateway
        1. this should be the IPv4 address of your CoprHD host's gateway
      3. network_netmask
        1. this should be the IPv4 netmask associated with your CoprHD host's subnet
      4. network_vip
        1. this should be another available IPv4 address on the same subnet as network_1_ipaddr. 
        2. It will be used as the virtual IP address for CoprHD
      5. For now the remaining options should remain at their default values

     

    network_1_ipaddr6=::0
    network_1_ipaddr=x.x.x.x
    network_gateway6=::0
    network_gateway=x.x.x.x
    network_netmask=255.255.255.0
    network_prefix_length=64
    network_vip6=::0
    network_vip=x.x.x.x
    node_count=1
    node_id=vipr1
  19. Copy over your rpm from your build machine

  20. rpm -U <rpm from build>

  1. Ura, John, what is this page trying to convey? Is it the requirements for a "runtime" environment as opposed to a build environment?
